The artifacts presented here are examples
of pre-Columbian Native American culture from what is now the state
of Georgia. Two different collections are represented-- the first
from an anonymous private donor,
the second from the Natural History Musuem of Georgia at
UGA. These images provide a vivid reminder
of the remarkable
depth of Georgia's multicultural history.
The images are presented courtesy of the New Georgia Encyclopedia
which will be on-line in October of 2003.
